January 24, 2023 (South San Francisco, CA) — The article entitled, “Quantifying Brownian motion in the presence of simple shear flow with particle diffusometry” was published in the peer-reviewed journal, Experiments in Fluids.

The collaboration between OmniVis and Purdue University’s School of Mechanical Engineering and Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering allowed researchers to design new algorithms to measure small changes in the Brownian motion of particles in the presence of different flow patterns.

From OmniVis CEO, “So why is this important? Theory, computational models, and fundamental experiments can be used to drive translational work - and here we discuss how to apply our findings to pathogen detection and other forms of DNA measurements.”
