Katherine hails from San Francisco but moved to Purdue University for a PhD in mechanical engineering. In 2009 she studied abroad in Thailand, where she decided to focus on appropriate healthcare technologies for low resource settings. She used the principles from her PhD for the current OmniVis product(s).
Tamara is an assistant professor in the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University. Her experience across molecular biology, neuroscience, and computational biology has provided innovative approaches to problem solving in research and biotechnology start-up.
Jacqueline Linnes is an assistant professor in the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University where her lab focuses on point of care diagnostic devices for global health. Her other start-up, PotaVida, designs water purifiers with data usage for data analytics.
Steven Wereley is a professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. With his expertise in fluid mechanics and optics, he previously founded the company Microfluidics Innovations. He was also featured on many news outlets for his work with the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
